Breaking News: US Initial Jobless Claims Fell to 276,000 and Expect Nonfarm Payroll Growth

Breaking news, the Labor Department reported Initial jobless claims fell to 276,000 last week. Forex trader and Economists had forecast that the count fell to 278,000 last week, according to Bloomberg. It was the 13th week that initial claims came in below 200,000.

Jobless Claims in the prior period were revised to 284,000 from 282,000. The four-week moving avarage rose to 274,750 from 272,000 in the prior week.

As reported from Labor Department, The data previously showed that the four-week moving average of unemployment claims rose by 5,000 to 271,500, after falling to a 15-year low the previous week.

Analyst and Barclays economists wrote: "The Labor Department reported no special factors in this morning's report. Both initial and continuing claims have moved solidly lower in the May survey week versus the month prior, and in tomorrow's May employment report, we continue to expect nonfarm payroll growth of 225k."
